Northlake Commons

FAISON BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON NORTHLAKE COMMONS

Charlotte, NC — August 12, 2005 — Faison is pleased to announce that construction has begun on Northlake Commons.  Situated on 20 acres at the Reames Road exit on I-77 in Charlotte, NC the new development is adjacent to the Northlake mall and features 75,000 square feet of specialty stores and five outparcels.

The design incorporates a casual village feel along with a pedestrian main street which will connect via pedestrian walkways to Northlake Mall. In addition, the entrances and walkways connecting the pedestrian link to the parking areas will further enhance pedestrian movement throughout Northlake.

Faison sold the majority of the land to Taubman in early 2003 and retained the Northlake Commons parcel for development. In connection with the sale to Taubman, Faison has been responsible for road improvements to Reames Road and the construction of Northlake Center Parkway from Reames Road to Alexanderana.

Outparcel leases have been signed at Northlake Commons with On the Border, Chili’s, Olive Garden, and Chick-fil-A.   Village tenants include Panera Bread, Men’s Wearhouse, Great Clips, Mama Fu’s, with additional leases in process.

Coupled with the mall’s impressive line-up and future planned projects, this area will become the dominant retail destination for the communities in the northern half of the Charlotte metro area,” said Bill Barnett, Managing Director of Faison’s Carolinas Retail Development.
