Pompano Citi Centre Kicks Off the Holidays with Art Exhibit
Pompano Beach, FL — October 24, 2007 — Pompano Citi Centre kicks off the holiday season with an art exhibit from the North Broward Preparatory Schools in Coconut Creek and Coral Springs. The exhibit is entitled “Salute to America” and showcases art works from kindergarten through the 12th grade students. Inspiration for the art came from American heroes, artists, landscape, monuments, culture and the American flag. The work has been created in pastel, graphite, collage, acrylics and mixed media.
“By shaping these materials into tributes to our country, we offer our thanks and thoughts to all those who have helped shape our past, present and future” remarked Shelley Weiss, Visual Arts Team Leader for North Broward Preparatory Schools.
